Joy is my Strength

Have you ever been in a situation where you were moving forward and then immediately everything stopped?  … EVERYONE.

It’s like walking in a crowded street; you are texting, walking with an agenda, maybe in a conversation with a friend, routine schedule and suddenly you run into the individual in front of you, who has stopped abruptly..

Or to be more specific, it’s like taking a hike; you are walking outside, up the hills, enjoying the view! You’re focused on the forward movement of your body and the beauty that is around you; until you trip over that unseen rock, and while you are trying to recover from your stubbed toe, it starts pouring rain and no one is around …

Just saying… it’s an interesting time.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say, I feel the pressure, the deep disappointment and impact that the Coronavirus is having on our world. Not only for the those who are sick, but for those who are wondering if their business’ will survive, or if they have a job to come back to, if they will be able to pay their bills, or thinking of homeschooling for the rest of the year (I am not a mom yet, but that scares me haha) or the people thinking of their families in different parts of the world…

It has taken me a few days to even post on my page about what’s been going on, I’ve been helping clients, vendors, trying to support those who need help, my own personal family and friends, let alone trying to process what is happing in such a short amount of time… I figure since we are “sheltered in” this is just as good as any to share my thoughts. I have many, but I’ll keep this short and to the point.

Here we go…

I believe that we will get through this; I believe we need comic relief, I believe that its important to also be sensitive to the real fear that people are facing at this time.

I believe that our world won’t be the same; I believe that in the midst of change we will see this generation rise up in more creative and innovative ways than ever before.

I believe we will see prosperity; I believe that people’s once-thriving business may never recover, but that new vision will come.

I believe that we have a choice as humans and we will choose to move forward.

I believe that date nights are just as important during quarantine, I believe you will need to get creative.

I believe we need to celebrate moments; I believe that we can be givers, not hoarders.

I believe that we need to laugh! I believe that even in unknown times Joy comes in the morning.

I believe Tick Tock will see its best days yet.

I believe that the fitness community will thrive and new people will choose healthy living because you aren’t fighting the insecurities of a gym.

I believe that we shouldn’t become passive or sit in apathy, I believe this is a move.

I believe that this is the church’s time to rise up (the person of the Church, the individual), I believe that Jesus will do signs and wonders.

I believe that He is the reason why we can have Peace, Hope, Joy,  and a foundation on unknown grounds.

I believe He is love.

I believe that Jesus is our savior.

I believe that I am changing; I believe I am growing into a confident, steady, joy-filled, vision ready, woman and leader. I believe it’s only because of Jesus.

I believe that things aren’t perfect but I know the God I serve is with me; I believe that no weapon formed against those who love Him will prosper.

I believe that I have lonely and broken moments; I believe that I am human.

I believe that no matter where you are when you read this you have a choice.

I believe you can be all you desire to be; I believe that this too, will pass and you will overcome.

I believe that your fears and struggles are real; I believe when you ask Jesus to come in your life, you will experience freedom.

I believe you are fearfully and wonderfully made; I believe you will make a difference in our world and in what’s to come, I believe you are stronger than you think; I believe that you have been given amazing talents and gifts to share with the world.

I believe that the Joy of the Lord is our Strength.

I believe in Jesus… and I believe in us.

Love

"Enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

“… his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for a night, but joy comes in the morning” Psalms 30:5
